A single Red Phalarope was still present this morning below Popcorn Rock at
the north end of Pyramid Lake. It was very tame and approachable. The single
Snow Goose that was seen last week was also still present. There was a large
gull flock there as well but only 6 Herring Gulls amongst the California and
Ring-bills. A large gull flock was present just south of the nets in
Sutcliffe but only contained California and Ring-billed Gulls. Two Common
Loons were just offshore of the old Sutcliffe boat ramp.
