I birded the Pahranagat Valley today.
Highlight was a Mountain Plover at Crystal Springs (thanks Greg for getting the word out early). I put a photo with my eBird list. I also had a Yellow-headed Blackbird at this site (which was tagged by eBird as rare). http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S32032043 The bird was along the dirt road immediately to the west of Crystal Springs (Crystal Springs had a bunch of fresh no trespassing signs). I walked down this road and shortly on the right (west side) they were irrigating and there were a bunch of Killdeer and the plover was mixed in with those killdeer.
Otherwise it was pretty slow. eBird lists from upper Pahrangagat below:
I stopped by Floyd Lamb Park on my way back. The Brown Pelican was still there (although it did not look that good as it appeared to be trying to eat some plants). See photo in eBird list: http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S32036195
