A Juniper Titmouse was a surprise (to say the least) visitor to my west-Reno
yard an hour ago. Its call drew my attention, and I watched it move through
the upper parts of the trees and then onward, calling all the time. I live
a block south of the Truckee River in a older "typical" neighborhood. I've
never seen a titmouse in the bowels of Reno before, even along the river
corridor, but I've seen them on the western fringes of town in the
juniper-rich areas (natch). Nice addition to the yard list.
