The entrance to the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve is off Galleria Drive. Take
the US95/I515 freeway to the Galleria exit 64B, go east and cross Boulder
Highway. The Preserve entrance will be on the north side of the road, follow the
driveway and signs to the parking lot and Visitors Center. The physical address

We had Eighty-nine(89)species observed from April 28, 2014 through May 4, 2014.
Migration is in full swing, we have a large number of warblers of various types in right now.
The following birds were seen and/or heard by staff and visitors at the Henderson
Bird Viewing Preserve east of Las Vegas:
Canada Goose (babies)
Ruddy Duck (Most males in breeding plumage)
Pied-billed Grebe (babies)
Western Grebe (flock of 12 observed on Pond 8 on 5-4-14)
Cattle Egret (4-28-14)
Wilson's Phalarope (Appx 100 individuals on Pond 4, along with a few Red-necked)
Anna's Hummingbird (We think the babies born this week in both the Anna's and Costa's Hummingbird nests may have been predated upon)
Northern Rough-winged Swallow
Black-tailed Gnatcatcher (babies)
Northern Mockingbird (Several - they might nest here again this season)
Northern Waterthrush (Last confirmed sighting at the Bird Viewing Preserve was in 2010)
Yellow-rumped Warbler (Audubon's)
