The entrance to the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve is off Galleria Drive. Take
the US95/I515 freeway to the Galleria exit 64B, go east and cross Boulder
Highway. The Preserve entrance will be on the north side of the road, follow the
driveway and signs to the parking lot and Visitors Center. The physical address

We had Seventy-eight (78)species observed from May 5, 2014 through May 11, 2014.
Migration is in full swing, we have a large number of warblers, flycatcher and Orioles of various types in right now.
The following birds were seen and/or heard by staff and visitors at the Henderson
Bird Viewing Preserve east of Las Vegas:
Canada Goose (babies)
Ruddy Duck (Most males in breeding plumage)
Pied-billed Grebe (babies)
Great Blue Heron
American Coot (babies)
Black-necked Stilt (nesting on Pond 4)
American Avocet (nesting on Pond 4)
Eurasian Collared Dove
Purple Martin - Probable. This bird was observed in a very large mixed flock of Swallows, significantly larger and dark.
Northern Rough-winged Swallow
Black-tailed Gnatcatcher (babies)
Northern Mockingbird (Several - they might nest here again this season)
Yellow-rumped Warbler (Audubon's and Myrtle)
