Virginia Lake, Reno, Washoe Co (5/6/14)
New at the lake was a big scruffy 1st-year gull, perhaps the same individual reported by Martin Meyers at Sparks Marina last winter. Unfortunately, it didn't stay long but flew off (to the ENE) shortly after I started photographing it.
Also a high density swallow swarm containing all 6 of the locally common species, though none but Barns and Cliffs were represented in substantial numbers. The only other notable sighting was a single Spotted Sandpiper..
