I just returned from an extended lunch time visit to Davis Creek Park in Washoe Valley north of Carson City. In the willows by the pond were two simultaneously-calling Pacific-Slope Flycatchers, two Black-Headed Grosbeaks, a Western Tanager, 2 male Calliope Hummingbirds, and the usual suspects. Davis Creek Park is accessed off of Rte. 395/I-580 on the north side of Washoe Valley. Follow the signs to the park and once you enter, continue to the left to the parking area next to the pond.
