Early this morning Dorothy Crowe and I observed the immature BROWN BOOBY at Cottonwood Cove marina. The bird was resting on a tall buoy to the north of the tire barrier. The bird flew into the beach area and tried to land on another buoy but fell down into the water. The bird then bathed briefly and then flew out of the bay heading south. Dorothy first saw the bird at a little before 6am and it left at around 7am. It has yet to return as of 8:40 am. Hopefully it I just out fishing and will return to rest here at the marina.
