It's February 9th, and I saw two different robins pulling worms out this afternoon and happily the worms in record time. Seems really early but it was very warm today.
Around our place, I haven't seen the Harris's Sparrow in a while but did see a White Throated Sparrow as I was watching the robins today. Robins are thick around here! The birds sound like they are moving into spring song mode.
This morning, we took a walk down by the drain ditch at the end of Powerline Rd and saw and heard Towhee's singing their spring song, heard a Bewick's Wren, heard a Mountain Chickadee, saw and heard lots of Cedar Waxwings, Yellow Rumped Warblers and tons of Robins.
Happy birding - Carol Amos
