Red Rock Audubon Society held a field trip to the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve this morning, 9-21-12.
The Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve is located at 350 E. Galleria Drive, Henderson, 89015. To get to the Preserve from the 95/515 freeway exit at Galleria Drive, turn east cross Boulder Highway and follow the blue signs to the Preserve entrance driveway.
We observed or heard 45 species from 7 AM to 9 AM, weather sunny and warm.

American Avocet (100 +)
Northern Rough-winged Swallow
Abert's Towhee (Heard)
Sparrow sp. ( Probably a Song Sparrow but ID was not long enough to verify)
