Greetings:
Sorry for the late post, it was a busy day yesterday... While performing a dragonfly survey at Corn Creek Field Station, Desert National Wildlife Range, one of our group spotted an Ovenbird in the open wooded area between the orchard and the poolfish refugium.
We were greeted upon arrival earlier by a flock of 3-4 dozen Clark’s Nutcrackers flying overhead, which appeared to be generally heading from the Sheep Mountains to the Spring Mountains. Other birds of note include an Olive-sided Flycatcher, Western Tanager, Black-headed Grosbeak, Lincoln’s Sparrow and Spotted Sandpiper.
