There have been eight days of immature Rufous Hummingbirds feeding at our feeders. Last night we had 9 at one feeder.
This morning we had Broad-tailed Hummingbirds, also immature males at the feeders. There were 6 of them. I have not seen any adult Rufous or Broad-tailed. The only hummingbirds in our yard feeding at this time are immatures and that includes the Anna's. There is so much hummingbird activity that I know there are more than what I am counting. When I look into the trees there are always from one to three hummers in a couple of the trees not far from the feeders and many more buzzing around the yard.
The Anna's Hummingbirds are finding it difficult to get at the feeders with all the migrating hummingbirds at our feeders.
