I checked out Floyd Lamb Park this morning and it still continues to hold
many migrants. Some new or continuing birds seen included the male and
female Northern Parula, a singing Tennessee Warbler (near bench #16), a
Nashville Warbler appropriately next to the Tennessee, a Hermit Warbler, a
Myrtle Yellow-rump, and a male Rose-breasted Grosbeak. Most surprising was
a Red-breasted Nuthatch.
A belated thanks to Vernon and Andrew Howe's group of birders who on
Saturday found the White-eyed Vireo and then re-located it for many of us
to observe it.
