The entrance to the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve is off Galleria Drive. Take the US95/I515 freeway to the Galleria exit 64B, go east and cross Boulder Highway. The Preserve entrance will be on the north side of the road, follow the driveway and signs to the parking lot and Visitors Center.
OUR HOURS FROM MARCH 1ST THRU MAY 31ST OUR HOURS WILL BE 6:00 AM TO 2 PM. LAST ENTRY IS 30 MINUTES BEFORE CLOSING.

Gambel's Quail (babies)
Horned Grebe (1)
American Coot (1 juvenile, 4 babies on pond 9, 5/14)
Black Tern (5/18 found by Randy)
White-throated Swift (pond 6, 5/20)
GREATER PEWEE (5/20, photo by Randy, ID by Je Anne, Bird 280 for the Preserve)*
Western Wood-Pewee (5/15, vc, seen by Georganne and Christina)
Olive-sided Flycatcher (several)

*On May 5/16/97, Rita S., Jim Eidel, and I were doing a big day and saw the bird at Sunset Park.
