On Thursday afternoon, December 2nd, as I was exiting I-64 onto State
Route 10 south of Huntington, I was treated to a real eye-opener as a
flock of about a dozen wild turkeys glided and descended over and just in
front of me at a height of about 30 to 40 feet. They must have taken off
on the ridge where Huntington High School is located and were headed west
to the wooded hillside over State Route 10 and Fourpole Creek.
