The following birds were seen and heard by the staff and visitors from
February 23, 2009 thru March 1, 2009.
We had Sixty-five (65) species recorded this week.
Common Goldeneye (2 male pond 8)
Black-crowned Night Heron
American Avocet (3 on pond 9 2/28)
Long-billed Dowitcher (2/28)
Red-shafted Flicker (heard)
Northern Rough-wing Swallow
Crissal Thrasher (singing)
Yellow-rumped Warbler (Audubon's and Myrtle's)
Don't forget your hat, water and sunscreen.
OPEN 6:00 AM TO 3:00 PM. Last entry is at 2:30 pm. You need about
two hours to bird the Preserve
Directions from the I515 (US93 & 95), take exit 64, Sunset Road east.
Follow the signs (blue signs with white letters) to Moser, turn left
Key in #100 at the gate for entrance to the Bird Preserve.
