A pretty slow week. On Tuesday I saw the wintering Gray Flycatcher at Point
of Rocks and a Slate-colored Junco on the Crystal Spring boardwalk. This
evening my FOS Long-billed Dowitcher was at Crystal Reservoir. Last
Saturday evening I had the first Ferruginous Hawk I've ever seen on Ash
Meadows. They winter in the dozens within a 10 mile radius, but I'd never
before seen one on the refuge.
