An unlucky Friday the 13th at Corn Creek at least for me. A lot of Robins and White-crowned
This morning, the 14th I'm sitting on my porch at Indian Springs when a Hairy woodpecker starts to
peck on the wooden posts of the porch next to my head. I think it is a female interior western but
I'm unsure of my ability to distinguish this from the Downy but it's coverts were almost solid black.
Besides the usual Anna's, I think I saw a Broad-tailed Hummingbird today. It came within inches of
my foot and I could clearly see no red above the throat
a Roadrunner just drifted by.
