Yesterday I saw my first Turkey Vulture in Spanish Springs valley for the year.
This is the website where my wife Carol found the mini hummingbird feeders for sale:
Hummingbird plant of the week:
I always feel guilty going on vacation and taking my feeders down, so I have made sure to have hummingbird plants that bloom at various times to ensure complete coverage. Here is one you may have overlooked: catmint. (sorry, I tore off the top of the packet with the scientific name, but its fairly common wherever flowers are sold.) It is very xeric and blooms all summer long with spikes of tubular blue flowers. Mine has been in bloom for over a week.
