Aug 22, Zunino/Jiggs Reservoir (a term used loosely, I'd say), Elko
Co.
SANDERLING
Aug 22, Zunino/Jiggs Reservoir, Elko Co.
BAIRD'S SANDPIPER (at least three, maybe more)
Aug 22, Zunino/Jiggs Reservoir, Elko Co.
PECTORAL SANDPIPER (2)
Aug 25, Pahranagat NWR, Lincoln Co.
COMMON NIGHTHAWK
Aug 18-24, hundreds migrating everywhere in the north, particularly
conspicuous at Ruby Lake
LEWIS'S WOODPECKER (three on utility poles on 227)
Aug 21, Elko Co.
BOBOLINK (many, many fall plumage and one odd in-between on 227)
Aug 21-22, Elko Co.
126 species for a casual trip, 15 shorebirds, all Hirundinidae (except
Purple Martin) at Ruby Lake NWR, beautiful Angel Lake, and a 18"/3-lb
Rainbow Trout leaping out of Ruby Lake to look at Nevada birds.
