I'm passing along FYI a portion of a message I received from National
Audubon, where our list server resides. If all goes smoothly we're unlikely
to notice a change has been made. However, if you post to the list on or
about Sept. 3 and nothing happens, you'll know why. Under that circumstance
just be patient, and don't try to re-post your message a half-dozen times.

"As you may have heard, we have been working on moving the Audubon mailing
lists (Listservs) to a new Audubon managed server. On September 3, 2002,
the move from the current server to the Audubon server will take place. In
order to make the transition as smoothly and seamlessly as possible, we must
temporarily stop the lists while the change takes place. We estimate this
process will take 24 to 36 hours. This should not impact the delivery of
messages to your list.
"The list configurations, archives and subscribers have already been
successfully moved to our new server. The archives for August and the most
current list of subscribers will be moved when the final switch over is
made on September 3, 2002."
