As explained in this editorial appearing in today's Charleston Gazette,
viewable at the link listed below, the State stands to loose $2 million from
the Federal government if the legislature fails to implement a crow hunting
season (with closed season).
The Senate seems to be acting in a very cavalier manner on this. Apparently
they think that West Virginian's would just as soon give away $2 million in
tax payments to preserve the opportunity of a few shoot crows year-round
(which is something they can do anyway under the blackbird and crow
depredation order, but I'll say that for another post.
