It may take some time, but like most birds it is easiest to find nests during
either the incubation or rearing periods. Rearing is best as both adults are
usually active around the nest. Just watch adults during the proper season
and they will show you the nest. I saw a pair of Red-shouldered Hawks
refurbishing last years' nest this past Sunday in Hardy Co. The male was
presenting the female with pine branch tips and she was decorating the rim of
the old nest. The season is upon us, although the weather may slow things
